Child and Babysitting Safety Class

The Parks Department is offering a Child and Babysitting Safety class for youth ages 11 yrs. & older. The class will be held at the Chicopee Parks & Recreation Office 687 Front ST.
The class will cover such topics as playtime, behavior management, phone skills, common do & don’ts, bathing, feeding, changing diapers and fire safety. All participants must pre-register for the class by signing up at chicopeerec.com Class space is limited! Please bring a (nut free) snack, paper & something to write with.
Masks Masks are required to be worn through out the class even when socially distanced.
All participants for the classes are required to self-screen at home prior to coming to the program for the day. If the participant does not feel well they are advised to please stay at home.
(a) Self-screening shall include checking for symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath, gastrointestinal symptoms, new loss of taste/smell, muscle aches, or any other symptoms that feel like a cold. Anyone with a fever of 100.0?F or above or any other signs of illness must not be permitted to attend the program.
