Swim Lessons
Swim Lessons are back in Chicopee!

The Recreation Department has secured a Certified Water Safety Instructor for the Winter, and she will be bringing Swim Lessons to Chicopee High. 

After a hugely successful Summer Session, in Winter 2025, Chicopee Parks will be hosting swim lessons on Sundays before Open Swim starts at noon!

Molly Menard got certified as a WSI in October of last year, but she has been teaching for almost 5 years. Molly was on the South Hadley swim team in high school for 5 years (8th grade to senior year), and was a captain her senior year.

Molly stresses water safety during lessons, prioritizing kids learning to keep themselves out of danger while swimming. Molly was named the Holyoke YMCA Employee of the Month for May for her efforts in swim lessons there! 

Classes will run on Sundays from January 5 until February 23.
