American Red Cross lifeguard certification class will include certification in Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and Community First Aid. Participants must be 16 years of age on or before the end of the course. All participants complete a nine hour online portion, emailed by the instructor, prior to the first day of class.
Participants must attend all 4 days, running during April Vacation.
Anyone who passes the course will be GUARANTEED an interview for summer employment with Chicopee Parks and Rec.
Deadline to register for the class is Friday April 10, 2026
*Per State Law anyone under 16 in MA can not work as a Lifeguard, however can be certified at 15 years old*
